Robert Yee

Mr. Yee graduated with honors from Stetson University with a Bachelors of Business Administration. At Stetson, he majored in corporate finance and received a minor in information systems. After graduating from Stetson, he attended Syracuse University College of Law and in 1996 received his Juris Doctorate degree with honors along with a certification in the law school’s Law, Technology and Management program.

In 1996 Mr. Yee returned to Florida and worked as a Judicial Staff Attorney for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit in Seminole County, Florida. After serving in the public sector, Mr. Yee joined an insurance defense firm in Orlando, Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, P.A., handling insurance defense claims and commercial litigation matters. In 1999, Mr. Yee joined Baker & Hostetler, LLP’s Orlando office where he handled commercial transactional and litigation matters for clients ranging from small local businesses to Fortune 500 Companies. Some of the matters in which he was involved include intellectual property litigation, collection and enforcement of judgments, bankruptcy, business torts and contract disputes, high wealth divorce and probate.

In 2004, Mr. Yee left Baker & Hostetler to work for his expanding family business, a private school located in Orlando, Florida, where he serves as its Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel. He also started his own part-time practice, the Yee Law Firm, through which he handled a variety of legal matters.

In addition to his work as a lawyer, Mr. Yee has had the honor of serving as the President of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce and has served on the board of the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Central Florida Trauma Center Taskforce and was a judge for Disney’s Dreamers and Doers. Mr. Yee is a licensed attorney with the Florida Bar and he is admitted to the Federal Courts of the Middle, Southern and Northern Districts of Florida as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
